Apple Could Sell 10 Million Apple iPhone 5 in This Month

Apple is targeting 10 major marketplaces i.e. USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea in the initial phase to start shipping iPhone 5 on or after 21st September. It will be made available in 100 other marketplaces by the end of the next quarter.

Apple iPhone 5 is set to start shipping but an unseen battle between Apple and Samsung behind the scenes started long ago. It’s for supremacy! No doubt Galaxy S III has done splendidly well, but iPhone 5 seems to have more enthusiastic customers. Samsung Galaxy S III is sold for more than 20 million units in this quarter. According to Reuters it’s just matter of time for iPhone 5 to break this record. That same report suggests 10 million units of iPhone 5 could be sold in this quarter while the total sells of iPhone (including iPhone 4 and 4S) this quarter could increase up to 33 million which is an outstanding figure. Remember, iPhone 5 will be available in selected countries i.e. USA, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea only. In other some other European countries it will be made available on or after 28th September. Apple is on a role to make this flagship available in 100 countries by this year. You can expect the figure to look more attractive  for sure.

Price of the 16 GB variant of iPhone 5 is £529 GBP or €660 while in France and Germany the same phone is pre-ordered for €679 Euro. This stats suggest the price of the 16 GB variant could settle to €679 Euro in rest of Europe. Price in still unknown in Canada, Australia and the Asian eligible countries. With the arrival of iPhone 5 Apple declared the withdrawal of iPhone 3GS. iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 will still be available. let’s see how well iPhone 5 performs.
