according to me (confirmed from samsung customer care) there are no dual active mobiles now. all are smart dual active only. smart dual active means if you are on sim 1 call, if any body call you on sim 2 that call will be forwarded to sim 2. if you lift the call you service provider of sim 2 will charge you according to their plan for call farwarding.

I find very useful tips here. I also want to share my experience of ‘Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802’. Today I checked this phone. While I was speaking on SIM 1, my friend calling on SIM 2 got ‘SIM 2 not reachable’. The phone didn’t show a waiting or missed call on SIM 2. I think it’s not dual active truly.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802 is this mobile having dual active? the reviews says it redirects the call to SIM1 while SIM2 get a call. Is there any chance my SIM2 callers wl come to know my SIM1 number. And in samsung site the reviews are very bad about android bugs…. if anyone using please share your experiences….
Call forwarding option will come in front of you while you are using internet on one SIM and call comes in other SIM.You can create conference too but there is no chance that SIM 2 caller( or SIM 1) caller will know other SIM number. There is option in settings to set “allow data on other sim when on call” or something like that. Enable it and it will be fine.
Well, there is no way Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802 will get upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS. I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Am using LG-P520 is dual sim and dual active mobile phone. While am talking on one SIM another SIM call can come and you can see on the screen also and you can easily attend to that call. Am using since one year and its working fine.. the only minus point is not user friendly menu system.

I confirmed from the Philips customer support that all the models of Philips phone available in India are dual sim dual active. Range is from 1450 to 5000, these are basic feature phones . No android version.
Models Available are Xenium series X806,X523, X518,X513,X121,X116,E122. All are dual sim dual active.
Heard view sonic is launching the dual sim phone Viewsonic 4e, which is dual sim dual active.
650 MHz, android 2.3, 3G. You can search more on internet by mobile world congress 2012.
