Hero Motor Corp to Completely Drop Honda Badge Soon

Hero Motor Corp, the largest 2 wheeler manufacturer of India is dropping the badge of Honda 2 years earlier than estimated schedule. Recently launched scooter Hero Maestro is launched complete under the brand name of Hero. Now forthcoming bikes from Hero Motor Corp will follow the same trend. Currently, Hero is moving strong and started manufacturing 60,000 units of scooters per month and more than 75,000 bikes of 125 cc. Recently launched Hero Ignitor, having 125 cc engine is doing exactly what Hero would have expected.

Hero Motor Corp

Back in December 2010, Hero Motor Corp took over 26% stake of Honda to bring an end of 26 year successful partnership for staggering 3,841.83 crore rupees. Now Hero Motor Corp, a BM Munjal Group of companies, is having the complete control over the brand. Therefore, dropping Honda badge is no surprise to us. Hero is enjoying a 18.27% sales hike while production is increased by whooping 51.26% in last one year. Hopefully, forthcoming bikes from Hero Motor Corp will include more advanced features to get complete control over the market.
