Huawei to Bring 4G TD LTE Supported Handsets & Tablets in India

Finally, the good news popped up from the house of Huawei. Huawei Technologies have decided to bring LTE smartphones exclusively for Indian market. Although 4G LTE network is complete in some parts of India i.e. Kolkata, Bangalore no 4G LTE supported handset is available in Indian market. It is quite surprising but true. Indian 4G LTE network is TD-LTE whereas globally FD-LTE protocol is used. That’s why if you import a 4G LTE supported handset from some other country it will not work in Indian network. Airtel is the only company to finish it’s LTE network in Kolkata and Bangalore in collaboration with Nokia Siemens. Only Huawei made 4G USB dongles can be used to taste high speed data download.

4G LTE in India

In a recent report of TheMobileIndian Huawei is planning to launch two 4G LTE supported handsets i.e. Huawei Ascend D LTE, Ascend P1 LTE and one LTE supported tab MediaPad 10 LTE by the end of this year. It is really exciting to see 4G smartphones shipping to Indian market by the end of this year. Huawei is the company to take the initiative. Once LTE is spread out in some other cities I am sure more companies will join Huawei.

LTE network spread-out is not yet complete in major Indian cities. Only Kolkata and Bangaluru are covered under Airtel’s LTE network. Pune, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Delhi will be getting LTE network soon, hopefully by the end of this year. Aircel, RIL and Tikona Broadband are also having 4G spectrum license of some major Indian cities. This news from Huawei may boost LTE network spreading bit faster than usual.
