Installation of Apps in Micro SD Card Prohibited in Windows Phone 8

Windows Phone 8 supports external storage! Oh..Sky of relief..Now you can store more music files, videos and images in your stylish feature rich Windows Phone. Isn’t it? You can also install apps from your card to phone but that certainly does not mean you can install apps to your micro SD card. Yes, you can not install apps in your external storage a recent report from CNET says.

The main reason behind this must be to force users download apps from Windows Marketplace only. You cann’t deploy any other method for installing apps. Normally, when developers submit apps in marketplace it takes some time before it is approved. The news of external memory card support may have encouraged developers to sell or even make users download apps bypassing Windows Phone marketplace lot earlier than anticipated. This is certainly not the same! Microsoft blocked that way in a tricky way. You have only one way of downloading apps which is Windows Phone Marketplace.

Not much of luck gamers! Sorry to say but it is true! You have to keep your phone memory black or nearly the same so that you can install games that are of several megabytes or gigabytes in size.
