The competition in low end tablet market seems to to take a new dimension as a spokesperson from HTC told PCAdvisor that a new HTC tab is coming to the UK market that features something out of the box. Google Nexus 7 is expected to hit the market soon. Amazon Kindle Fire 2 is pending too. Apple iPad mini will also be coming in soon. Now, a new one from HTC will definitely influence the market for sure. HTC Flyer was earlier released in UK. Jetstream, a 10.1 inch tablet released in USA in contract with AT&T is however, still pending to UK. May be it is coming as a 7 inch tab. May be not!
HTC tab
The HTC spokesperson told PCAdvisor that the tab will contain special features. No hint in given, but you can expect Android 4.1 JellyBean to run the device. Well, display is hopefully set to 7 inch as the competition in the 7 inch tab market is higher than other segments. Let’s not speculate too much on the specs of new HTC tab. IT’s not too far away to know complete specs.
Most importantly, HTC has decided to cut short the price of this tab. Flyer was earlier released in UK at £600 which is too high in this competitive market for a 7 inch tablet. New HTC tab will be coming for just about £200 or $320 USD. Expected release date of this tab is set to 19th of July. Now, it is interesting to see whether the new HTC tab can create benchmark or not.
