Karbonn A9 is fueled by 1 GHz processor whereas Micromax A80 Superfone Infinity is fueled by slightly lower clocked 800 MHz processor.

Karbonn A9 features larger display, better display resolution. A9′s 3.8 inch TFT Capacitive touch screen with HVGA resolution of 480×800 px over Superfone A80′s 3.7 inch TFT Capacitive touch screen with WVGA resolution of 320×480 px is definitely better. Also the pinch in zoom facility of A9 makes it unique and gets a lead here. Both support 262k color combination is display.

Stylish, light weight weight, slim design of Karbonn A9 is really impressive as compared to Superfone A80′s bulky design. The footprint measure of A9 is 60.5 x 120 x 11.3 mm which is better than A80′s 60.5 x 120 x 11.3 mm design. Karbonn A9 weights around 130 gm whereas Micromax Superfone A80 Infinity weights just around 178 gm which is too heavy in most occasions.

6. Storage
Micromax A80 comes with 256 MB of on board storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB. On the other hand, Karbonn A9 has 512 MB RAM, 1 GB of on board storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB. Free actual storage is definitely less than what they state during promotion. Once again Karbonn A9 snatches a win over A80 Infinity.

7. Camera
Karbonn A9 and Micromax Superfone A80 both sport 5 MP primary camera and VGA secondary camera. Not much to talk about the camera. Do not expect too impressive imaging quality from any of these. Video recording is supported by both of them. On one side, Karbonn added features like Auto Focus, Flash Light, Panoramic Shots etc in primary camera of A9 which are useful at times. On the other hand, camera of Micromax A80 has Night Mode, 4X Digital Zoom, Flash Light, Multi-shot Mode for better shooting.

8. Network
Both these droids operate on dual band GSM 900/1800 and UMTS 2100 network band. You can see there is no room to separate the duos.

9. Connectivity
In connectivity segment I do not see much difference between the duos. Both support high speed GPRS/EDGE in GSM network and can hit up to 7.2 Mbps HSDPA speed in 3G network. For local area wireless connectivity Bluetooth, Wi-Fi are there in both of them. Micro USB can be used as an option for wired connectivity. For location tracking or rather for position tracking GPS navigation is supported for Karbonn A9 and Micromax A80 Infinity.

10. Multimedia
Both these droid come up with integrated music player, video player and stereo FM Radio. Music formats like MP3, WAV, MIDI, eAAC+ and video formats like MP4, H.263, H.264, 3GP, AVI are supported by both these smartphones.

In this segment Micromax Superfone A80 Infinity clinches the victory over it’s close competitor A9. It comes with whooping 2500 mAh battery whereas Karbonn A9 has more of a regular battery; Li-Ion 1600 mAh battery. No doubt A80 offers 7 hrs talk time and 288 hrs standby time whereas Karbonn A9 provides talk time of 4 hrs and standby time of 200 hrs.

12. Price
Price of Karbonn A9 is Rs. 9330/- whereas Micromax Superfone A80 Infinity costs you around Rs. 8490/- on 21 July in Flipkart. Price of A80 is lightly lower than A9.

13. AISHA
AISHA is a virtual speech assistant used in Micromax handsets. Apple introduced this technology first in iPhone 4S. Later on Samsung introduced S-Voice in their recent flagship Galaxy S III. In low end segment Micromax has similar application which they named AISHA (Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant). This is unique in Micromax A80.

You can see Karbonn A9 is the winner here when you take powerful processor, larger display, more storage, light weight, slim design in consideration. On the other hand, Micromax A80 has powerful, long lasting battery and AISHA. Price of A80 is also lesser than A9. If you think you can handle bulky Micromax A80 it’s going to be your choice. Micromax A80 is only 200mb internal memory and 256mb Ram. I bought this mobile a week ago, you review is wrong you mentioned 512mb. i was pretty much disappointed about that try to review with correct information.

your review is good, but not good enough, you missed out some important features in micromax a80 infinity. It has AISHA(Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant)
this feature is only available I-PHONE 4S which is cost over 40k but micromax has this same kind of feature in this mobile.
This one feature makes a lot of difference between the micromax A80 and Karbonn A9.
