Korean Samsung Galaxy S III to Feature Quad Core Processor and LTE Together

Samsung is expecting to sell more than 10 million Galaxy S III handsets by July as reported by Reuters. The droid was earlier reported to be pre-ordered for more than 9 million times. Galaxy S III is marketed in several variants. US carriers are still to release the droid in contract. Canada release of Galaxy S III is scheduled to be held on 27th of this month. So, the number of eventually increase that is for sure. US Carrier T-Mobiles, Sprint are expected to unveil their Galaxy S III on 11th of July.

So far Galaxy S III is marketed with quad core Exynos chipset and dual core Snapdragon S4 chipset. US and Canada carriers went for the dual core S4 while globally Galaxy S III is revealed with Samsung’s own Exynos quad core chipset along with Cortex A9 processor. Galaxy S III LTE in Japan too have dual core processor.

Recently, Samsung announced the release of Galaxy S III for Korean market with LTE radio in it. It is going to the first handset in market to feature quad core processor and LTE. Same Exynos quad core chipset is used in the droid. RAM is bumped to 2 GB leaving 1 GB. All these have lead to slight increase in thickness. Korean Samsung Galaxy S III to have 9 mm thickness.
