Hi Mandeep,
I am planning a laptop with following parameters:
30-35K
Mainstream; 15″ – 16″ screen
Like: DELL, HP, Toshiba, SONY, Lenovo
Dislike:ASUS, Acer
Primary tasks – Office work (Word proc/Excel – MS Office)
Occassional programming using a RAD tool with simple db like SQL Server Express
Moderate games (mostly by the kids)
Local purchase in Mumbai…would be thankful if u indicate a good dealer…
Based on the above I have short listed HP G6-2005AX (about 34K) , Lenovo Essential G580 with Intel Core i5 (the one above) and DELL Inspiron 15 (3rd gen I5, 4GB RAM, Win 7 – 39K)
DELL is about 6K costlier tan the others. What do u think would be a good choice?
Also if I were to go for DELL, does it make sense to pay another 7000 odd to get a 3-year all-cover warranty from DELL considering that hardly anything happens to a laptop in general use?
Also, is there a 3rd gen I3 available?
How does AMD -quad core (Trinity, I think) compare with Intel? Is it closer to I3 than I5?
flipkart have increased is price to 35576 today, but on ebay a listing of this product available at similar price
