LG’s new 4G LTE supported droid VS950 for Verizon Wireless is approved by FCC. The droid looks more like Optimus Vu that was earlier introduced by the Korean manufacturer in South Korea as a CDMA droid. The 5 inch phablet packs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon chipset. Well, the Verizon’s upcoming 4G LTE mini slate is expected to sport a 8 MP rear facing camera and 2 MP front facing one for video calling.

Verizon is yet to declare anything about this droid. But according to Bluetooth SIG the droid is manufactured in North America and the possibility is that it goes to the ‘Big Red’s’ LTE network. Android 4.0 ICS or v4.1 JellyBean which firmware is running the phone is yet to be leaked. Verizon already selling couple of LG droids i.e. LG Spectrum VS920, LG Lucid quite successfully. Optimus Vu with integrated NFC support will definitely add some strength to Verizon Wireless’s inventory.
