Budget friendly or cheap is a relative word. Thus, it is better to say MediaTek’s new MT6577 chipset will be used in smartphones that will be priced less than $200. It is regardless to say manufacturers like Gigabyte, ZTE etc. will be using this chipset in their upcoming droids. Thanks to MediaTek MT 6577 chipset more smartphones tagged less than $200 will be brought to market in next quarter. The chipset is ready for shipping. Now, it is interesting to see who starts the proceedings.

Lenovo A789 and Huawei (can remember the model number) will be the first to come out by July. LG and Motorola are rumored to be grabbing them also.
