Micromax has just added a new tablet in it’s Funbook lineup. This time 7 inch Funbook Alpha joins the party. The tablet looks much like previously launched Funbook 7 inch P300. Features are kept pretty much the same. Surprisingly, processor is stepped down to 1 GHz from 1.2 GHz. The only area you can see improved is camera segment. This time a 3 MP camera replaces VGA camera. Otherwise, the tablet Funbook Alpha P250 is similar to Funbook P300. You can Alpha is a sequel of Funbook with just couple of minor changes in hardware.
Micromax Funbook Alpha P250 comes with integrated Wi-Fi. No Bluetooth is added in this model. It lacks SIM card slot. So, there is no GSM voice communication support. The tab can be connected to internet using Wi-Fi or USB 3G/2G dongles only. USB 2.0 port is there for connecting the tab with some external devices. GPS navigation support is included in the features list.
Micromax Funbook Alpha 2
Funbook Alpha comes with 7 inch TFT LCD Capacitive touch screen display with resolution support of 480×800 px. Integrated G-sensor automatically rotates display according to requirements. Multi format music and video player makes this tab a perfect house for entertainment. Integrated Facebook, Twitter, YouTube application helps you to stay connected to your network with ease.
Like Micromax Funbook P300, Alpha comes with 4 GB on board storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB. The tab is built around Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The tab has no support for Java. Browser is HTML supported. The tab is not so suitable for gaming as 1 GHz CPU and Mali dual 400 MP GPU along with 512 MB RAM do not make enough good combination to run heavy games in it.
