In Superfone Pixel A90 Micromax has deployed AMOLED display technology which is arguably the best, energy efficient display technology of recent times. Samsung is the best in this technology and have brought Super AMOLED in their flagship models. 1. Operating System & Processor
Running on Android 4.0 ICS both these droids are powered by single core 1 GHz processor and separate GPU. There is no room to find out any difference in this segment. Samsung’s UI is no doubt better than Micromax, but does not make too much of difference.

A90 comes with 4.3 inch display whereas Galaxy S Duos features 4.0 inch display. Craze of larger display in smartphones is considerably higher which makes A90 more attractive than Galaxy S Duos S7562. Micromax introduced the use of AMOLED display technology in it’s smartphones for the first time in A90. On the other hand, being the best in AMOLED technology Samsung went for TFT this time in Galaxy S Duos. Both support same resolution of 480×800 px but pixel density in Galaxy S Duos is 233 ppi whereas A90 deals with 217 ppi. Both feature accelerometer and proximity sensor but magnetometer sensor is available only in Galaxy S Duos. Overall, Micromax beats it’s rival in this segment.

Both these droids feature 2 SIM card slots and built on dual sim standby technology. You can use two SIM cards in one phone.

Micromax A90 comes preloaded with 4 GB of on board storage and micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB. Only 512 MB RAM may cause some issues when you run heavy games along with some other applications. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S Duos comes with similar hardware but with slight change in the amount of RAM used in this phone. Instead of 512 MB of RAM 768 MB is used in the droid which makes it slightly better and delivers better performance.

5. Camera
In camera segment A90 beats it’s rival because of it’s 8 MP rear facing shooter. Unlike other ‘S’ series smartphones Samsung stepped down the camera to 5 MP in this phone. Video recording of A90 is better than Galaxy S Duos. Both sport front facing VGA camera for video calling.

You can not separate the duos in network and connectivity segment. Both offer similar hardware. Both these droids can hit up to 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and up to 5.76 Mbps HSUPA speed in 3G network. Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro USB. NFC is absent in both.

Li-Ion 1600 mAh battery in Micromax A90 ensures better backup as compared to Galaxy S Duos’s 1500 mAh battery. Since A90 comes with AMOLED display technology it delivers more talk time and standby time.

A90 costs you Rs. 12,900/- and the model is currently available in market. On the other hand, Galaxy S Duos is yet to start shipping in market. Still we have no information on pricing of the droid. You can expect S7562 to be close to Rs. 20,000. In that case, A90 becomes a priority choice.
Micromax A90 or Samsung Galaxy S Duos?
I don’t see any reason for not choosing Micromax A90 (specs of Micromax A90) over Galaxy S Duos (specs of Samsung Galaxy S Duos). It has better hardware and beats Galaxy S Duos in most occasions. Although price of S7562 is still unknown we can expect it to be costlier than A90. Thus, Micromax A90 Pixel becomes best choice between the duos.
