MTS, a promising CDMA vendors in India has decided to bring yet another Android driven smartphone MTS MTag 401 bundled with their exciting ‘on mobile unlimited’ data plans. Previously, the company brought HTC Pulse but it was not that successful. But this time they may get a breakthrough as the droid they showcased is really a good one powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread. 800 MHz Snapdragon S 1 processor fuels the device. MTS MTag 401 has 3 MP primary shooter as well. The droid has a micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB. The company is delivering the smartphone to their customers bundled with a 2 GB micro SD card.
MTS MTag 401 operates on CDMA network and can achieve up to 3.1 Mbps EvDO Rev A speed which is pretty good. Otherwise 1x and hybrid speed is available in all areas. In recent times MTS spread it’s network in different corners of the country and better download speed is ensured. MTag 401 is preloaded with MTS TV applications and allows it’s customers over 100 Live TV streaming channels. For first 3 months you will get unlimited data usage (up to 1 GB 3.1 Mbps, rest 1x speed) and unlimited on network free calls.

MTS Mtag 401 price is Rs. 8999/- which is fairly reasonable. We have some unlocked droids available like Samsung Galaxy Y, HTC Explorer, Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, LG Optimus Pro, Motorola Fire in the same price range but none of these droids are bundled with special tariff plans. You have to connect it to any carrier and remember no plan can be as cheap as bundled plans.
