Nokia Asha 302, a touch n type S40 device is now ready for sells in India. The device resembles it’s two siblings Asha 300 and Asha 303. Asha 302 features a full QWERTY keyboard and looks much like a business phone. It is powered by 1 GHz processor and Asha S40 operating system. Nokia settled the price of this phone to Rs. 6285/- in India which is pretty close to some low end droids like Samsung Galaxy Y (price around Rs. 7500/-). This eventually raises the question how useful the phone is in comparison to Android driven Smartphones. In response to that, I can only say, Android is undoubtedly one of the best platforms for mobile devices. Thousands of thousands free and paid apps and games are available in market. In comparison to that Asha S40 Touch n Type OS falls behind. But the phone is not that bad in terms of features. It has 2.4 inches TFT Capacitive touch screen display with QVGA resolution of 320×480 pixels. Primary camera is a 3.2 MP one with features like Full Focus, Full Screen Viewfinder, Self Timer, Sequence Mode, Image Editor. 4X digital zoom is there too.
Nokia Asha 302 comes up with 100 MB on board storage and supports micro SD card up to 32 GB. 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery is used in this phone which offers more than 9 hours of talk time in 2G and 5 hours talk time in 3G network. Nokia Asha 302 is also capable of achieving up to 14.4 Mbps HSDPA and up to 5.76 Mbps HSUPA speed in 3G network which is excellent for a phone at this level. Wi-Fi is there along with Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. In my opinion Nokia Asha 302 worth the price Rs. 6285/-.
