Nokia Lumia 900 is yet again a Windows Phone from Nokia. In recent time we have seen couple of Windows Phone from Nokia viz. Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710. This time they launched Nokia Lumia 900, a 4G LTE supported phone with quality features in it. Nokia has moved from Symbian to Windows and the prospect of this fairly new OS seems to be bright after their outstanding performance in CES(Consumer Electronics Show) 2012. The truly smoked Android and iOS in fair bit of margin. Windows Phone achieved 30 out of 34 contests and lost in 3 occasions and 1 was tied. So you can understand why people are betting on Windows instead of steady market of Android and Apple iOS.
One thing surprise me with this Lumia model, Nokia still to opt for dual core processor. They are pretty happy with single core processor; even you can see Sony Ericsson has moved to dual core processor in their recent models. Lumia 900 comes with 512 MB of RAM which is not enough once again I think. However, Nokia Lumia 900 comes with 4.3 inches of Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass display and latest Nokia ClearBlack display. Nokia has not changed much in this model from their earlier Lumia 800 apart from couple of major changes. The most interesting feature you will find in Nokia Lumia 900 is 4G network support apart from quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G network band support. Lumia 900 sports 8 MP primary camera with Carl Ziess lens and dual LED flash. Nokia Lumia 800 lacks secondary camera which is one of the biggest disadvantage of the model. Nokia added that feature in Lumia 900. Same 1.4 GHz Scorpion Qualcomm processor is used in this model. Nokia Lumia 800 has some battery related issues; Lumia 900 comes with more powerful battery and I hope the problem is resolved with this new battery. Nokia Lumia 900 Price
Nokia Lumia 900 is yet to hit market. Possibly it will be available in this quarter and the price in India will be around Rs. 35000/- or $700 outside India. One suggestion from my end to potential buyers of Windows Phone in India, do not wait for Lumia 900. It will be better undoubtedly in comparison to Nokia Lumia 800 but you will not get the taste of 4G LTE network in India. Lumia 900 is coming with AT&T for the first time. Do not hesitate! Better opt for Lumia 800 and this will save money as well.
