Oppo to Join as Microsoft’s OEM Partner to Manufacturer Windows Phone 8 Handsets

Oppo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company soon will be joining Microsoft’s OEM list. Earlier, when Microsoft announced Windows 8 Oppo was not considered in the list. Nokia, Samsung, Lenovo, HTC, ZTE, Huawei, Acer were licensed to manufacturer Windows 8 Phone. In the list you can already see 3 major Chinese companies are enlisted. Now the company may join the list as well in 2013 when Microsoft will announce the revised list of OEMs.

According to WPDang Oppo will start manufacturing Windows Phone 8 handsets. Before that they must be licensed and it is not likely to happen before 2013. This Chinese giant has already made it’s mark by manufacturing world’s thinnest smartphone running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is measured just 6.65 mm thick. We still need official confirmation from Microsoft as well as from Oppo.
