Piaggio, the Italian 2 wheeler manufacturer is on its way of bringing yet another scooter in Indian market. This time Piaggio Fly, a 125 cc segment scooter may hit Indian market during the festive season. Hopefully, by October it will be officially launched in India. Piaggio Vespa, the 125 cc veteran scooter was criticized for over pricing but this time the company is pretty certain of confining the price to around Rs. 50,000. Well, Diwali is the time Piaggio will be aiming at. However, stylish design, inclusion of latest technology and powerful engine may place this scooter in the same row with Honda Activa, Suzuki Access or Suzuki Swiss. The scooter is already made available in international market with 150 cc engine. However, 125 cc would be ideal for Indian market.
Piaggio Fly boasts 125 cc single cylinder 2 valve air cooled 4 stroke engine that is capable of producing 11 PS power at 9750 rpm and 12 Nm torque at 8000 rpm. For a scooter these specs are impressive.
