Samsung ATIV S is the first Windows Phone 8 running handset the South Korean giant smartphone manufacturer Samsung announced. On the other hand, it can be said that it’s the first Windows Phone to run a dual core processor. Microsoft already benchmark Qualcomm Snapdragon S4. Without finding an alternative Samsung has to went for Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 instead of their own Exynos. Windows Phone 8 OS supports micro SD card for the first time in Windows Phone history which is also present in ATIV S.
Aluminum metal body design makes the phone look attractive and at the same time can withstand a drop or two. It is not necessary you do that often. Display is coated by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which protects the display from external scratches.
Samsung ATIV S features 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution support of impressive 720×1280 px at 306 ppi. ATIV S will be available in global market by the end of fourth quarter this year. It will hit Indian market by the same time. Samsung has not given any hint on pricing. You can expect it around Rs. 35,000/- in Indian currency.
