Samsung Galaxy Camera, the camera centric phone is expected to hit Indian market during Diwali. Apple iPhone 5 is scheduled to hit Indian market at around the same time though one retailer already started selling limited number of iPhone 5 in India. However, Galaxy Camera is based on Galaxy S3 hardware. Most of the features are kept similar. In addition, 16.3 MP 1/2.3 inch BSI CMOS sensor is crafted in the back panel. But it’s not fair to call it a phone; it’s a camera that boasts features of a phone. Weight of 305 gm and dimension of 128.7×70.8×19.1 mm is bigger than smartphones and even phablets out in market. You have to carry is separately in a case or bag just like tabs.

Samsung Galaxy Camera will feature 4G LTE connectivity along with high speed HSDPA speed. The camera phone is built on Android 4.1.1 JellyBean platform powered by quad core Exynos 4412 chipset processor and Mali 400-MP GPU. Internal memory of 8 GB can be increased up to another 32 GB by inserting micro SD card. Display size is 4.77 inch, 308 ppi, 720×1280 pixels resolution. Other features are similar to Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300. It may be accompanied by Samsung Galaxy Music, the music dedicated entry level smartphone which is expected to hit market around the same time. Exact release date and price are yet to be announced by Samsung.
