Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 is now official! Samsung announced their next flagship phablet in IFA press conference in Berlin. As we expected Galaxy Note 2 will be running on latest version of Android, v4.1.1 JellyBean fueled by quad core 1.6 GHz Exynos 4412 chip and 2 GB RAM. It’s a 4G LTE supported handset that comes with more compact design. The model is slightly heavier than Galaxy Note. You have to remember that Note 2 features larger 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution support of 720×1280 px at 267 pppi pixel density. Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating on display provided the phablet additional level of safety.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be available in 3 storage models, 16/32/64 GB. Micro SD card slot expandable up to 32 GB allows you to increase memory to store more files in your phone. N7100 is a 4G LTE supported handset and is available in one version only. Samsung has not announced any US specific version of the droid so far. It operates on quad band GSM, quad band 3G and LTE700 network band. The 5.5 inch phablet can hit up to 21 Mbps HSDPA speed while in 4G LTE network it can achieve up to 50 Mbps UL and 100 Mbps DL. Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth, NFC and micro USB (with MHL link) are other connectivity options.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 S-Pen Stylus
Note 2 sports dual camera, primary camera is a 8 MP one while secondary camera is a 2 MP one. Samsung kept the camera segment as is as compared to Galaxy Note. The droid records full HD video at 1080p. Whooping 3100 mAh battery is used in this handset which is expected to provide long hours of backup. Galaxy Note 2 N7100 battery comes only after Motorola RAZR MAXX’s 3300 mAh (specs of Motorola RAZR MAXX) battery.

Samsung is expecting to start shipping of Galaxy Note 2 N7100 by October this year. LG Optimus G and iPhone 5 will join the competition at around the same time. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Release Date & Price
Samsung has not officially declared any specific release date of Galaxy Note 2 so far. Samsung is trying to make it available by October this year. Price is also an unknown factor. I hope the price will be around Rs. 35,000/- in Indian currency.
