Display size of Galaxy Note is 3 inch bigger than Optimus Vu. As a result of that Note support higher resolution. Note is built on Samsung TouchWiz 4.0 UI while Optimus 3.0 UI is used in Optimus Vu which is one of the promising, easy to use user interfaces of recent times. Scratch resistant coating on Note protects the display from external scratches. In all respect Note has better display.

Galaxy Note is available in 16/32 GB storage models. Also micro SD card is present in the droid expandable up to 32 GB. On the other hand, Optimus Vu comes with 32 GB internal storage. It lacks micro SD card slot. Both boast 1 GB RAM for faster multitasking. Micro SD card slot in Galaxy Note gives it an edge over Optimus Vu.

You can see there in nothing to separate between the duos in primary camera segment while in secondary camera segment Note gets a straight edge over it’s competitor. Both Galaxy Note and Optimus Vu operate on quad band GSM and quad band HSDPA network. LTE is a region specific feature in Galaxy Note while the feature is absent in Vu. Both can hit up to 237 Kbps speed in GSM network while on 3G HSDPA network up to 21 Mbps speed is very much in the cards. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB are present in both these phablets. NFC is an optional feature for Galaxy Note. On the other hand, Optimus Vu comes with integrated NFC chip.

TV-out port via MHL link allows you to connect your phablet to your TV set. Stream video or view images in larger TV screen right from your smartphone.

9. Form Factor
Galaxy Note is bigger in length but smaller in width to Optimus Vu. It is difficult to hold a wide phone easily with one hand. Optimus Vu may not be as pleasant as Galaxy Note as it is wider than Note. But the phablet is considerably thinner than Note. Also it weights less than it’s competitor. Optimus Vu wins this round of comparison.

Final Conclusion – Galaxy Note or Optimus Vu
You can see both these droids are very close to each other. Samsung Galaxy Note wins in display, camera, battery and memory segments while Optimus has powerful processor, better sound quality, less weight form factor and integrated NFC chip. The comparison is very close. Galaxy Note mainly falls behind LG Optimus Vu in processor segment but let me tell you couple of Cortex A9 cores along with Mali 400-MP GPU can serve multiple processes at a time with ease. Not much to worry about. I think Samsung Galaxy Note is still better choice for you.
