Samsung Galaxy Pocket has been the most affordable smartphone from Samsung for a while now. Finally, it gets a companion. It’s none other than the dual sim version of the same handset. Samsung kept most features same apart from including two sim card slot instead of one. Samsung is keen to hold the low end smartphone market with it’s new range of dual sim smartphones. Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302 features 2.8 inch touch screen with QVGA resolution, 832 MHz ARM v11 processor, 2 MP camera, 1200 mAh battery, 3G speed up to 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, 3 GB on board storage, micro SD card slot and more. The battery is good enough to deliver up to 15 hrs of talk time in GSM network which is very very impressive. Though the handset weights just around 100 gm it is in thicker side. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread Galaxy Pocket Duos lacks secondary camera, processor is feeble, primary camera turned down to 2 MP, no LED flash for camera, no Adobe Flash support in browser and low resolution display raise some questions straight away. You have to keep one thing in mind that Galaxy Duos Pocket is a pocket friendly dual sim smartphone. To make it a budget friendly one Samsung has to compromise some hardware. Well, Micromax, Karbonn are already selling dual sim Android phones in that price range. I’ll compare Galaxy Pocket Duos with other models once pricing information gets leaked. Samsung is yet to officially announce price and release date of the handset. You can expect it somewhere around Rs.7000. Hopefully, by October it will ready for sells.
