Samsung Galaxy S Duos is a smart dual sim smartphone where as HTC Desire V is a dual sim standby phone. The advantage of smart dual sim is you can accept calls in both sim cards at a time. Only data connection is allowed in one sim at a time. Two 3G sim cards can be used in two slots. On the other hand, HTC Desire V is a dual sim standby handset.
