Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is coming with Telstra, Australia. It’s a tab that features GSM voice communication, SMS and MMS. The tab has 8.9 inches wide PLS TFT Capacitive touch screen with resolution support of 800×1280 pixels which is awesome for gaming and watching movies. Galaxy Tab 8.9 is powered by dual core 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor and NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 chipset and ULP GeForce GPU. Quite surprisingly Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. May be upgrade to Android ICS will be coming shortly.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a 4G LTE supported tab that operates on quad band GSM and dual band 3G network. It has very good hardware in it that can help the device achieving up to 42 Mbps HSPA+ speed in 3G network and up to 50 Mbps up link and 10 Mbps down link in 4G LTE network. High speed GPRS and EDGE are also there for GSM network. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features 3.2 MP front facing camera and 2 MP rear facing camera. Powerful 6100 mAh Li-Po battery is expected to offer more than 500 hours of standby time and 7 hours of usage. battery is not as impressive as Apple iPad 3 but decent one to be honest.
