Samsung Omnia M, a new Windows Phone released in India. Nokia revealed the cheapest Windows Phone, Lumia 610 in this month. Now a new one joins the party. So far, Windows Phones are not doing well in Indian market. It started off pretty well but lack of 3G connectivity in major portion of the country and cost of data usage have made it difficult for Windows Phones to succeed in this giant marketplace. On the other hand, Android is doing exceedingly well. Symbian also has very high reputation here and still doing decently. Let’s get back to the topic.
Samsung Omnia Made Available in India at Rs. 17,999/-
Samsung Omnia M is tagged at Rs. 17,999/- which seems to be too high price for a phone with such minimum features. Quite surprisingly, Samsung tagged Omnia M higher than Omnia W. Omnia W is currently available at Rs. 15,200/- in Flipkart. Omnia W is clocked at 1.4 GHz whereas Omnia M is clocked 1 GHz. Both are using single core CPU which means Omnia W is faster. In other segments there is hardly any difference apart from slightly larger 4.0 inch display in Omnia M as compared to 3.7 inch display of Omnia W. Omnia M has just 4 GB of on board storage whereas Omnia W has 8 GB of on baord storage. Both sport 5 MP auto focus primary camera with LED flash. Well, after reviewing the specs I guess, it doesn’t worth the money it claims. You can check out specs of Samsung Omnia M here.
