Yamaha India launched a 113 cc stylish scooter Yamaha Ray in Indian market. This is the first scooter from Yamaha added in scooter segment. With this new scooter the Japanese manufacturer is looking to get hold of at least 20% of market share. Hero, Honda, Bajaj, Mahindra all are having scooter ranging between 100 cc to 125 cc. Therefore, it was much needed from Yamaha to bring a scooter to cope up with the competition.
Yamaha Ray is powered by 113 cc 4 stroke CVT engine that generates 7.1Ps power at 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm @ 7500 rpm torque. Engine is good enough for short rides. The 113 cc scooter is available only with drum brake option only. Kick start and self start options are available to start engine. Yamaha claims Ray is capable of delivering up to 62 Kmpl in highways and 40 Kmpl in city.Rayis exclusively targetted to females. Men better stay away from it! Take a look at technical specifications-
