Yamaha India is on it’s way of unveiling yet another scooter in India. This time 135 cc scooter Yamaha Spark is expected to rule the Indian roads. It boasts 134.4 cc single cylinder SOHC 4 valved engine with liquid cooling technology that generates maximum power of 11.49 PS at 8500 rpm and 11.65 Nm torque at 5500 rpm. Centrifugal four speed constant mesh gearbox with wet multi-disk clutch system ensures smooth performance. Exact fuel efficiency is unknown but it will range somewhere between 30-40 Kmpl. Electric start(kick start is present too) improves fuel efficiency otherwise it would have been worst in it’s segment. Fuel tank size is 4.0 liters with reserve tank of 0.5 liters.

Yamaha Spark is bold, powerful and stylish. Front wheel is colored with the same color that is used in body. Alloy wheels look brilliant. Telescopic fork front suspension and mono-shock rear suspension are good enough to absorb shocks to a great extent. It’s still not clear in which colors Yamaha Spark will be made available in Indian market. Yamaha Neo, the low cost scooter will hit Indian market along with powerful Spark. Yamaha Ray is the only scooter available in Indian market. Therefore, we can say Yamaha is targeting all 3 segments. Let’s take a look at the specifications-

Well, it’s still not clear in which colors Yamaha Spark will be made available in India. Expected price somewhere around Rs. 50000. It may vary depending on cities. Proposed release date is October this year.
