ZTE Grand Era U985 is announced exclusively for the Chinese market. So far we do not have information whether it will made available in other marketplaces or not. ZTE claims Era U985 is the slimmest quad core smartphone in the world although it’s not true. Just announced LG Optimus G is the slimmest among all quad droid beasts. However, the ZTE Era packs NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor and Android 4.0.4 ICS operating system. This killer combination ensures fast multitasking. Era boasts 4.5 inch HD retinal display with resolution support of 1280×720 pixels. Rear facing 8 MP camera with full HD video recording is impressive.
ZTE Grand Era U985 seems not to be the slimmest quad core smartphone, LG Optimus G is the slimmest of all
The only confusion Era creates is it’s thickness. ZTE claims it’s the slimmest quad core smartphone as the slimmest area of the phone is measured to have just 7.9 mm thickness while in some other areas thickness is around 8.6 mm. On the other hand, LG Optimus G is measured to have uniform 8.45 mm thickness. So, the statement from ZTE seems to be incorrect. However, other features are impressive and a global release would have been ideal.
